The National Elections Commission is conducting a 5-day Assets and Supply Chain Management training for the National Elections Commission magisterial and assets management staff in Buchanan city from 4 to 8 March with assistance from the UNDP project "Support to the 2015-2018 Liberian Electoral Cycle" and in cooperation with the World Food Program (WFP) and Techno Brain Liberia.

The “Support to the 2015-2018 Liberian Electoral Cycle” project is financially sustained by the United Nations Development Programme, European Union, Ireland, Sweden and Canada with a fund of USD16 million and in partnership with the National Elections Commission.

Recently, the National Elections Commission installed the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) module which allows organization to use a system of integrated applications to manage the business and automate administrative functions related to technology, services and human resources.

Asset management is a key aspect for the implementation of the ERP module and it is linked to warehouse, procurement and finance to control the movement of stock and assets.

Consequently, the training aims to enhance the knowledge of users of the system about the ERP, asset and supply chain management, safekeeping and control mechanisms of materials procured or received as donation.
