Online dashboard tool to monitor aid management to be launched.

Sep 26, 2013

Monrovia; The Ministry of Finance Aid Management Unit in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) will on Friday September 28 launch its New Deal Dashboard (NDD).

The event takes place at the Ministry of Public Works Infrastructure Implementation Unit Conference Room at 10:00am.

The Dashboard is an online tool that displays donor-funded peace building activities across Liberia with the possibility of customizing how the data is organized, generating information on places, projects, regions and types of peace building projects being implemented in Liberia.

It will also provide the Government of Liberia the information needed to make decisions for future peace building initiatives.

The New Deal Dashboard draws on data from the Aid Management Platform but adds relevant peace building data.

These peace building activities are aligned with the Peace Building and State Building Goals (SPG) of the New Deal for which Liberia is a pilot country.

Liberia’s selection as a pilot country came in 2011 for a project aimed at enhancing the quality and availability of data on donor funding to peace building activities.

The project has been funded by the EU and implemented by the UN Peace Building Support Office and the Liberian Government with support from UNDP.
