Environment and Energy
Environment and energy represents one of the key practice areas for UNDP due to its critical links with efforts in poverty eradication and sustainable development. This Energy and Environment Programme aims to mainstream environment and climate change in national development priorities and strategies in the country.
The UNDP programme on Energy and Environment aims to strengthen national capacities in environmental governance, improve public understanding of the use of alternative energy including the provision of solar energy to rural communities, at the same time, contributing to the achievement of Millennium Development Goal number 7 – ensuring environmental sustainability. more
