Summary

The second quarter under review, witnessed tremendous effort in the implementation of the Kokoyah Millennium Villages Project (KMVP) AWP activities for the period April-June.

Highlights

  • 100% completion of a Community Information Centre and staff quarter for the Botota High School by Soriya Fugumba Construction Company. The Information Centre in Botota aims at providing community access to information technology in Kokoyah.
  • 100% completion of a Community Multipurpose Centre in Botota implemented by Elite Construction and General Maintenance Services. The completion of the centre will open up opportunities for business through existing spaces for a provision shop, a restaurant and drug store while the conference hall will enable the local government to conveniently host public events and activities within the district.
  • 100% completion of the Emergency Programme for Polio Immunization (EPI) and Maternal waiting rooms for the Botota clinic and staff quarter constructed by Liberia Care for Humanity. The completion of these facilities offers a better environment for pregnant women awaiting delivery at the clinic and a place for routine vaccinations for children under five against polio.
