4th quarter 2014 KMVP Report

31 Dec 2014

The KMVP during the 4th quarter continued prioritisation of key activities in its implementation efforts despite the crisis on Ebola. These include series of field monitoring missions and work with contractors on ongoing civil work projects and processing payments for contractors who meet milestone requirements on the various projects under implementation.

  • During the fourth quarter period, the project completed rehabilitation of the Gbercohn Elementary School and achieved substantial progress in the extension of the Rock Crusher School from Elementary to Junior high. The school is currently roofed with corrugated iron sheets while the rehabilitation of the Botota market is at roof level.
  • Thirteen (13) water wells out of fifteen (15) under construction in different communities in Botota and Rock Crusher were also completed. Hundreds of community members are using the water wells constructed in their communities.
  • To improve accessibility in Botota and Rock Crusher through streets lay out, the project, together with Alpha Logging and Wood Processing Company Inc. worked in a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) to lay out nine (9) streets in Botota; the administrative headquarter of Kokoyah and two (2) streets in Rock Crusher.
