Our partners are our greatest assets. They are leaders in their sectors, who are ready to cut across the silos of the food production and supply chains in order to contribute to the wellbeing of local communities and our planet.
Since we launched the Green Commodities Programme in 2009, we have established an array of partnerships with major public and private stakeholders involved in specific commodity sectors. The strength of these partnerships means we are able to identify disagreement and find consensus on issues that concern the world.
At the global level, we have partnered with major multinational companies including IKEA and Mondelez International, and we also cooperate with the UN-REDD Programme, the Global Environment Facility and the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs. Together we work to strengthen and support the work of our national programmes.
At the national level, we act as a neutral broker between governmental institutions, private companies, grass-root organizations and scientific institutions with a stake in specific commodity value chains.
In order to do this, we have established partnerships with national governments and help them address relevant policy gaps. We support them lead the commodity-platforms and engage government institutions at national, regional and local levels.
Amongst others, we rally our stakeholders around National Commodity Platforms. These platforms allow us, and all stakeholders, to stay connected and work out together the details of common agendas.
